It's with immense pride and joy that we celebrate Natalia's graduation from Lyon College this May! Natalia, originally from Poland, has spent her college years majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and Finance. Her journey at Lyon College has been filled with memorable experiences, personal growth, and the forging of lifelong connections.
One of Natalia's most cherished memories is playing volleyball for the Scots. Her dedication to the sport was unwavering, and she played passionately until a knee injury in her senior year forced her to step back from the court. Although this setback was heartbreaking, Natalia's resilient spirit shone through as she continued to support her team from the sidelines, assisting her coach and cheering on her teammates. Her contribution to the team, even off the court, was invaluable and highlighted her strong sense of commitment and teamwork.
Beyond athletics, Natalia found a second home in the Batesville community. Meeting new friends, forming a close bond with her boyfriend, Xavier, and connecting with the welcoming people of Batesville made her feel embraced and cared for, far from her native Poland. The warmth and support she received helped Batesville become her home away from home.
For her graduation session, Natalia wanted to celebrate this milestone with Xavier by her side. Their love story, blossoming amidst the academic challenges and adventures of college life, adds a beautiful dimension to Natalia's journey. They truly are the sweetest couple, and their bond is a testament to the meaningful relationships formed during their college years.
As Natalia steps into the next chapter of her life, she plans to stay in Batesville for an additional semester to support Xavier during his last season of football. Following that, she will embark on her Optional Practical Training (OPT) year, which allows international students to gain valuable work experience in the U.S. Natalia is excited to start her professional journey with one of the banks in Batesville, where she can apply her academic knowledge and continue to grow in the field of finance.
Natalia, your journey at Lyon College has been nothing short of inspiring. You've faced challenges with grace, formed lasting relationships, and contributed significantly to your community. Watching you evolve into a confident, capable, and compassionate young woman has been a true pleasure. Your future is bright, and I am confident that you will achieve great things.
